Blogging is a free way to earn money but it takes hard work and patience. But before starting a blog for earning money online, you will need some inspiration. So, from where you will get inspiration, from your competitors. In the online world, your competitors are sites that are similar to yours in terms of topic, products or services. Online competitive analysis involves finding the strategies your competitors are using to promote their product or services on the internet. It involves finding the strengths and weaknesses of your competitors. This information will help you to outsmart your competitors and make you more profit.
One little piece of suggestion I'd give you today is to follow and observe those biggies in your niche. Subscribe to their newsletters or feeds. I religiously follow some big blogs on my reader and I've subscribed to the email list of my competitors so that I can see *how* they're doing things. You need not (and should not) copy their stuff, but you can adopt their strategies and tweak it to suit your business. Besides, something might always strike the nerve.
What Will You Get.
- Free Tips To You: You can get free tips from your competitors by subscribing to their email subscription. Usually big bloggers give free tips to their loyal readers. You can learn a lot of things from their tips.
- Ideas Of Blogging: What they are posting on their blog, you can take some ideas from their post. You can write that topic in your language and with your ideas. You post will be unique.
- Their Readers: As you know, active readers always see comment and ask question from the owner. So, try to leave a comment on your competitors' site including you blog link or one of the most attractive post's link.
Analyzing your competitors is very important to both existing businesses and feasible business ideas. While analyzing your competitors, there are several things you have to consider:
1. Website Content: You have to compare the content of your site with that of your competitor. Your content should be well-written and the most important information above the fold. If you have to learn from your competitors, learn from them.
2. Organic Keywords: These are profitable terms many of your target audience will use while searching for sites like yours in the search engine. You can find the organic keywords your competitors are targeting using a tool like Google Adwords Tool.

3. Website Design: Compare the design of your site with that of your competitors. Is your site at least as appealing? Does it load faster? Do your graphics look professional?
4. Website Functionality: This has to do with how user-friendly the forms, cart, and other widgets on your competitors' sites are. Does your competitors' sites have a search bar for finding information quickly? Is real-time contact possible? A website with good functionality is more likely to have better conversion.

So yes, please go ahead and follow your competitors, subscribe to their lists and learn. I suggest you use a separate email (you can create one in about a minute in Gmail) so that your regular life doesn't end up in chaos! However, remember "taking action" only makes your learning complete.
